Traffic Sign Assist and Lane Keeping Assist.
Equipped with numerous safety features and assistance systems the X-Class can support and relieve its driver.
Especially in urban traffic, Traffic Sign Assist can provide support by showing speed limitations and no-overtaking signs. If the vehicle unintentionally leaves the lane, Lane Keeping Assist warns the driver with a pulsating vibration on the steering wheel – and in this way can help maintain greater attention and safety on long journeys.
Active Brake Assist.
Active Brake Assist gives the driver a visual warning if the distance to the vehicle ahead is too small. If a risk of collision is recognised, an initial acoustic warning is issued – if the distance is then not decreased, the system can help the driver with braking or if there is no reaction, autonomously reduce the speed.
ESP® with trailer stabilisation.
ESP® with trailer stabilisation also offers the highest operational stability when carrying a load or towing a trainer. If weaving is detected when towing a trainer this can be limited through targeted braking of vehicle wheels.
In the worst case scenario, the seven airbags fitted as standard in the X-Class offer the occupants the best possible protection and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system can help radically reduce the time it takes for the emergency services to reach the scene of the accident.
